The main function of RI is to supervise the work of village accountants working under him and furnish information, reports, etc., to the Tahsildar as and when called for.

SUCCESS STORY

Raj Bhushan Singh, hailing from Bihar, overcame numerous hurdles and criticism to emerge as a revenue officer after 15 months of dedicated effort. Despite a modest background, he pursued higher studies outside Bihar and eventually landed in Delhi for work, but found no satisfaction. Driven by his passion, he pursued further studies, ultimately achieving his dream of becoming a Revenue Officer, inspired by a DM Officer who visited his school during his secondary education.
