Dr. Raman Kapur is a pioneer who revolutionised the practice of scientific acupuncture and acupressure in India. For his 36+ years of clinical excellence, he became the first recipient of the "PADMA SHRI" in Medical Acupuncture, awarded by the President of India in 2008. He is credited with curing "intractable" diseases ranging from optic nerve atrophy to chronic spinal disorders. As the Chairman of the National Coordination Committee, he was instrumental in the official recognition of Acupuncture/Acupressure by the Government of India. He also co-developed India’s first online acupuncture course in collaboration with IGNOU to standardise training for doctors.
An acupressure therapist can become an entrepreneur by starting a wellness clinic, therapy centre, or mobile healing service. They can offer personalized treatment sessions, pain management programs, and stress-relief therapies. Additionally, they may launch online consultations, conduct workshops, or develop wellness products like acupressure tools. By building strong client relationships and leveraging digital platforms, acupressure therapists can create sustainable businesses in the growing holistic healthcare and wellness industry.
